Using this site and these terms

These terms cover your use of the Goleta Concrete website and the estimates and work we provide. When you use the site, ask for an estimate or book a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site, and contact us with any questions before you book.

In these terms, "Goleta Concrete," "we" and "us" mean the business, and "you" means the visitor or property owner. You can read about who we are on our About page, or go back to the home page to see the work we do.

What we do

Goleta Concrete is a concrete contractor in Goleta, CA. We build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, slabs, foundations, retaining walls and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Goleta and the cities around it.

What this site says about our services is general information. The work we do on your property is the work described in your written estimate or contract, and that document controls if it differs from anything on the site.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and are done at your property, because we need to see the ground, the access and where the water runs before we can price a job. An estimate is our price for the work it describes, based on what we can see that day and material costs at that time.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or the digging starts, such as soft soil, roots, old fill or buried pipes. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, explain it and get your approval in writing before we do any extra work.

An estimate stays open for the time written on it. After that, we may update the price before we schedule the job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you approve the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, high heat or a late material delivery can move a pour, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us at (805) 285-4985 as early as you can. If materials have already been ordered or work has started, you may owe for those materials and the work done up to that point, as your contract sets out. Nothing in these terms takes away any right to cancel that California law gives you.

Payment

Payment amounts and due dates, including any deposit, are set out in your written estimate or contract. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made, and we may recover reasonable collection costs where California law allows.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig, such as sprinkler lines, drainage pipes or past problems with the ground. We'll walk the site with you so nothing gets missed.

New concrete needs time to cure, the wait while it gains strength, before it can take foot traffic or a car. We'll tell you when it's ready, and keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then is your responsibility.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Satisfaction guaranteed on every job means that if something we built isn't right, you call us and we come look at it. Any written warranty on your job is the one in your contract, and it sets what is covered and for how long.

Concrete can crack. We cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, so cracks usually stay in those lines, but small hairline cracks elsewhere are normal and aren't a defect. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from using the slab before it has cured, loads heavier than it was built for, tree roots, ground movement, drainage changes made after the job, or work done by someone else.

Apart from any written warranty in your contract, and as far as the law allows, this website and its content are provided as is, without any other warranty.

Limits on our liability

As far as California law allows, Goleta Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or consequential losses tied to our work or this website, such as lost time or rental costs, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the work involved.

We aren't responsible for delays or problems caused by things outside our control, such as weather, material shortages or conditions hidden underground. Nothing here limits any responsibility the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling disagreements and governing law

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first, because most issues get settled in one conversation on site. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before either side goes to court.

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case will be filed in Santa Barbara County unless the law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your job. If you have questions about them, reach us through our contact page or call (805) 285-4985.
